Shining Aussie Spirit Shimmering red liquid matte lip gloss (applies like a gloss, wears like a long lasting matte lipstick) benefits the Wires Wildfire Rescue - full details on this organization below (suggested by a close Aussie friend Heather Tierney). Do good and look good in this red liquid matte lipstick thats a lighter shade of red with cool pink undertones. If you prefer bolder, slightly darker and warmer  red you'll probably prefer the Shining Aussie Spirit shimmering lipstick which benefits the same charity...or just get both!

I want all of my lipsticks to be special but the cosmetics for a cause line even more so as each cause is so close to so many peoples hearts so I reached out to some of my favorite Aussies to help create this limited edition lipstick and gloss. It ended up being a collaboration between  a loyal Australian customer and a smart young Aussie girl, Isabel Tierney (the daughter of Andrea and Mike Tierney of Human Nature). Isabel suggested the color and name 'Shining Aussie Spirit'. Isabel wanted red to symbolize the fires with a sparkling shimmer base because who doesn't love a little shimmer. Don't worry, it's not sparkly, just a sophisticated subtle frost to add dimension and gorgeousness. My other lady loved it because she said "the sparkle can represent the Americans that have come down to Oz to help and lost their lives." which I thought was so sweet. So this really was a team effort.

With essential oils: raspberry truffle (one of my favorites with a chocolate raspberry taste and scent, don't worry it's subtle and not sickly!).

Catastrophic fires, the worst drought in history and record high temperatures are taking a tragic toll on native wildlife.

The Australian wires saw over 4.9 million hectares of land in NSW alone burnt. With the fires destroying unprecedented amounts of habitat, food shortages have increased and lack of suitable habitat will be a significant long-term challenge for surviving wildlife. Sydney University has estimated over 1 billion animals in Australia since September. WIRES offers national emergency support to assist groups working with wildlife affected by these emergency events. WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same.

WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years and is the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. WIRES currently has over 2,600 volunteers in 28 NSW branches involved in the rescue and care of wildlife and we have a dedicated Rescue Office that operates 365 days a year assisting the community to help native animals in distress. WIRES is passionate about supporting smaller volunteer organisations in the wildlife sector with the same mission, as well as Universities, Veterinary Associations and other leading scientific and environmental groups. In the last 5 years WIRES has been working with organisations including: WWF, National Parks Association, Humane Society International, The Wilderness Society, Nature Conservation Council, Birdlife, RSPCA, Animal Welfare League and IFAW and we thank these organisations for their significant ongoing contribution to the wildlife rehabilitation sector.
